[VIDEO] Google Ads Metrics Masterclass Episode 3
Welcome to the final episode of the Google Ads Metrics Masterclass.
In this episode I dive into what we at tc² call optimization metrics and money metrics.
What’s the difference?
Optimization metrics are metrics that you can use to help you improve the performance of your Google Ads campaigns and your website or landing pages.
Optimization metrics while very useful, should not be used in isolation to judge the effectiveness of a Google Ads campaign.
Money metrics are the most important metrics to measure. These metrics tell you if your Google Ads campaign(s) is meeting your objectives or not.
If you’re money metrics are off it’s a sure sign that you need to dive further into your optimization metrics to find out what’s going on.
Why is this important?
Well, many novice Google advertisers (and some agencies who should know better!) focus too much on optimization metrics.
It’s entirely possible for your optimization metrics to look healthy WHILE your campaign is NOT profitable.
So an over reliance on the measurement of optimization metrics can throw you off the track of properly measuring the success of your Google Ads.
Which is which?

For some people my views may be a bit controversial. Have a different opinion? Leave a comment and let me know. I’d love to hear about it.
